Private River Camp established over 20 years ago, just 20 minutes West of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta in an old growth forest. The only river lease on the upper stretch of the North Saskatchewan River East of the Banff National Park boundary.

Dining, kitchen, and sleeping cabins with 13 tent sites & tents. Covered fire pit, wood heated cedar sauna and a kitchen trailer.

  • River Camp lease with cabins / tent sites - $150,000

  • 2 Clipper Mariner (22ft) canoes - one with wooden gunwhales
    and one with vinyl gunwhales $3200 & $3500 respectively, PFD’s 
    and  lunch &  equipment river boxes.

Bids will be accepted for assets and “good will”.

Voyageur Ventures is your portal to a whole experiential mind/body restorative state, allowing you to come in touch with your inner most feelings. Nature exhibits remarkable healing powers and you will be immersed in some of Alberta's most compelling natural environments.

Our guests relax as troubled waters are calmed, anxieties are displaced by enthusiasm and confidence re-emerges. Come join us!

During our long summer days canoe the historic trading river, the North Saskatchewan, hike our Alpine meadows; join us for a candlelit dinner and sauna.

 

Programs & (Rates)

"RIVER DANCE" -- Half Day Experience

Combines exhilarating fast water, relaxing calm sections, an optional informative walk into our past at Alberta's only National Historic Park (subject to annual park fees) and a full hot lunch.
3.5 - 4 hrs. (15 kilometres) Adults: $87 (+GST) Children (under 12): $72 (+GST)

"ENERGIZER" -- Full Day Experience

Includes all of the features of our half day adventure plus gives you time to explore interesting points along the river, surf the canoe, go for a swim or lie in the warm Alberta sun. We organize the day to meet your wishes. A continental breakfast and full hot lunch are included.
7 - 8 hrs. (40 kilometres) Adults: $143/person/Day (+GST) Children (under 12): $110 (+GST)

"OVERNIGHT DELIGHT" -- Overnight Experience

Voyager Adventure! Combine two days of historic river travel with a two night stay at our beautiful river camp. Candlelight dinner served to you followed by a relaxing sauna and/or campfire activity. Enjoy a restful sleep in our dry and comfortable double tarped tents. Whether retreats, family or social gatherings, we will create the experience you desire. This is an ideal weekend get-away with a combination of scenic and exciting river travel in guided canoes.
Two days, Two nights. Adult: $337/person/Day (+GST) Children (under 12): $274 (+GST)

"TRIP OF A LIFETIME" -- Multi-Day, Custom Experiences

Design with us the perfect vacation. Canoe (Voyageur or Tandem) the braids above Lake Abraham, the gap from Nordegg, the historic Saunders flats and/or the exhilarating Horburg to Rocky runs. Hike a wide selection of creeks, canyons or alpine meadows.

  • Hike Wapiabi Mountain and explore water erosion caves.
  • Try rock climbing/rappelling at Kootenay Plains.
  • Combine with other outdoor adventures in the valley.
These experiences include meals, transportation from Rocky Mountain House, accommodation, equipment, and certified guides.
1 - 9+ days. Adults: $224/person/Day (+GST) Children (under 12) $192/day (+GST)

A waiver must be signed by all participants prior to participation!

Terms: Experience options subject to change re: weather, water levels, physical capabilities, and client satisfaction. A 50% deposit is required to book an experience, the balance being due in full on the date of the experience. This is refundable if we cancel. VISA and MasterCard are accepted.
